We believe in spending most of our touring time exploring the outdoors and enjoying the cultural attractions of our cities,
but in a country as beautiful as New Zealand, travelling between
places is a real pleasure too. It is not unusual to see an ocean,
rainforest, waterfall, lake and mountain all in one trip.
To experience this natural "eye-food" in comfort and style you will be transported in modern, efficient, spacious, air-conditioned vehicles carefully selected to suit your party. All vehicles are well maintained to ensure safety and minimise pollution.
Private tours with 1-4 guests will travel in 6-8 seat vehicles, with all the comfort and space you may require.
Small groups travel in 6-12 seat vehicles. Travelling in 2 vehicles (with 8-12 guests) means you have lots of room. Two vehicles also gives us flexibility, providing our guests with the opportunity to enjoy extra diversions off the beaten track, and extra activities thus reducing the constraints of a scheduled itinerary.
“The schedule
was quite flexible even as a small group,
and our guide never hurried
us along ” – Kitty C
Any tour that tries to include all of New Zealand in 10-12 days will either not achieve that aim, or will have you travelling constantly every day. When designing our tour itineraries we focus on minimising travel-time and maximising "doing" time. We arrange most travel days to have no more than 4 hours travelling. On long travel days the journey is broken up with short walks, activities and ice-cream - whatever we find interesting along the way. These strategies allow us to enjoy 2-night stays in most locations. This can really reduce
travelling and packing/unpacking time.

On-board the touring vehicles we carry
tasty snacks and cold drinks, and a range of other useful gear
like maps, books, binoculars and music. Luggage is carried behind
in a secure, weatherproof trailer.
Flights...
Included in your itinerary will be a few
short domestic or scenic flights by fixed-wing aircraft or heliopter. These flights allow us to reduce driving
time and give you extra time on the ground to enjoy more
activities.
